SUMMARY

Is it possible to plant roots in the midst of the migratory movement through performative actions? This article explores the performative dimension of the RespirAndo workshop developed within the TransMigrARTS project, which seeks to transform the vulnerabilities of the migrant population through art. Implemented in Toulouse (France) and Aarhus (Denmark), the workshop proposes the body, movement and breathing as tools to strengthen support and well-being networks through performance. From a methodology of applied research-creation (ICA), based on performative writing from images, the article analyzes two sessions of the workshop in Aarhus during the spring of 2024: A stone in the road and Sowing roots. Through this exploration, we reflect on the creative power of art to re-signify the migratory experience, allowing new ways of inhabiting the world, building bonds and projecting collective futures of well-being for migrants.
